yeah well lets see if Apple address the pro market with an updated Mac Pro with more slots and support for the nVidia SDI... then well be cooking with gas

[Tom.Wong]

maybe someone will leave a beta copy of it at the bar on their birthday

one can only hope.

How about a Mac Pro chassis that holds 8 disks instead of 4... I can get 16 into a PC using off the shelf components...

2nd that please! More PCI slots are going to be a necessity!

[roryhinds]

yeah 8 disk, fast lane PCI E (at least 6 slots with 2 graphics card slots for double size cards) Blue Ray and Rack mountable.

Would need a complete redesign of the chassis but if they went Xserve style MacPro then that would do

[mikeburton]

At this point I don't really care what the box looks like as long as it gives me options to work with.

[Ben Holmes]

Apple will support GPU acceleration in a future release of FCS. It'll just take it's sweet time about it as usual. Why rush when they are the market leaders, and people will not quickly switch platforms...

[roryhinds]

yes who cares what it looks like when its out of sight in the machine room anyways

[Steve MacMillan]

This is where you should make your requests. I did.
