I thought I'd shoot a really quick 3 camera test... just me.... lit, setup the cameras ( red, 5d2, and 2ti ) and lit with 2 lights. Played one take and all shot in one take... then slapped it together in FCP.... total shoot and edit time 27 minutes. It's also me playing the guitar so don't be to hard on me :) ... and I messed around a little with some effects in garageband... but the beginning is pretty clean.

Can you guess which camera shot which angles?

Now first off I'd like to say that I obviously prefer shooting with my red... and it's streets above the other camera in all aspects other than weight. But I have a little project coming up and need 3 cams for it... it's just going up on the web so quality is not that important... but I just thought I'd share.

Hard to tell when it's for the web.

That may not be the case for very long. As with other delivery formats, the web is constantly improving resolution and quality.

My guess:

Straight on master shots RED.
Fret board closeups 7D
guitar body closeups T2i

Great test. Even better guitar playing. Really dug the riff.
Many thanks! Not sure about the Canons, but RED had to be at 0:08

thanks!

Sad to say that I've been playing guitar ( just by myself.. no bands.. and never in front of others ) for over 30 years... but I can only doodle around these days.... but I still love it.
