I just wanted to share an experience with you all. I have appreciated Steven Fry for a very long time. With Fry and Laurie (good old Hugh Laurie from House to you American's) , V for Vendetta, Blackadder and the rest. Plus him becoming a British darling in the last few years. He's the kind of person you would love to have as a dinner guest, incredibly witty, diabolically intelligent and a general comic genius.

I have the honour of saying after working with him he is every bit and more what I wanted him to be. It is not often that this happens for me. Idols and heralders usually fall from grace. My expectations are usually far from realised. He really is a genuine person and my admiration has grown exponentially.

Not the kind of thing I would normally write on a site like this but I felt like sharing.

Trying to remember... was it Bertie and Jeeves? Loved that series on PBS. Blackadder as well, but didn't realize he was in that. Recently he has done a recurring role on Bones that reminds me of his role on Bertie and Jeeves. I've read he is quite the techie, as well.

Love Steven Fry, seems like one of the smartest, funniest and nicest guys on the planet.

Well done working with him.

That's fantastic to hear. He does sound like a really great bloke.

Its one of those situations where you would rather show the outtakes rather than the program itself.

I've always hated meeting and working with people previously admired, this was one of those occasions where he IS as portrayed and more. What you see on QI is how he is and more. A truly genuine guy with no pretence. I suppose he has been around the houses a few times. No time for pretence.

I met Dame Judy Dench last year and man she completely took me unaware. Such a cheeky sense of humour I honestly didn't know what to do with myself. Way too much for me to handle. Same school. Same humour.

Jeeves and Wooster is what you are referring to...based on the PG Wodehouse's books.

Yes, that sounds right. Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster.
