Congrats Tom.

It looks absolutely fantastic!!!

The sunset, The Native North American Indian Tribe Dancer (a kid) and the wind power turbines from the car were shot on R1MX or...5DMK2?

I think I am going to dedicate the entire month of October to Powell, Holy Land, etc.

BTW, for those interested, here is a behind-the-scenes shot of how we did this.. a lot of very long nights camping in very cold, remote places. I'm sure Drew can attest to that!

Best Yet, Tom. My favorite (beyond the moonlit Bristlecone pine shot in Mountain Light) is the 1st Saguaro cactus ...a little light on the cactus really helps, eh? Almost looks like a circular dolly move.

What light source did you use? I have used the little LED lights bought at Walmart (the yellow ones)...good for 8 hours on fresh batts...color corrected them with 1/2 CTO.

Keep it up, dude!

Mesmerizing Tom,

What do you use to make the images so smooth as far as deflickering? Any tricks you care to share?

Wow thanks, Larry. I was a using a $20 Coleman camping lantern! It's the new one at Walmart that has a battery that slides out of the bottom or takes 4 Ds. Then I wrap the lantern in a pillow case to defuse. You would not believe how far away that little lantern has to be!

The MX shot is the boy dancing. He was a champ! The only problem on that shoot was that I was using an experimental dolly that could not go low angle at all! In fact, the lowest it could go was almost eye-level on me! My instinct was to go low angle. Anyway, I can't complain. I'm just learning.
