Hello

Alexa, Epic, Penelope... this is a great year for digital cameras!

Above is a sneak peek of the Penelope Delta right side (an engineering render) from our friends at Aaton

We should have more to show later on Friday

More details here:

Cheers

and people coming from the old school moving on from film and digital can feel very comfortable with the ergonomics and most likely reactivity of the camera to light and picture. I was at a panavision seminar once discussing a feature film shot on genesis, and the DP spent 20 years shooting on film, and it was her first digital project. They designed the genesis to feel like a film camera, which is appealing for a lot of the working pro's out there.

i'm sure penelope is no exception to that.

4K RAW onboard recording to SSD. 10bit DNxHD to SD card. Alexa who?

Absolutely gorgeous. A design to study and enjoy... Every camera designer or industrial designer should analize this..... With this shape on their shoulder everyone looks like a pro....
I'm done now...

I keep telling you kids how amazing this camera is. She just gets better and better.

Aaton and Abel are located next to one another on the NAB show floor. Come to the Center Hall and see what we have in store -- there's more secrets that have yet to be revealed.

BTW, the "∆" symbol is Option-J on the Mac. I've gotten to know it quite well.

Yeah, Penelope ∆ recording specs look like in a fair tale and if this is also in a real world situation then I would like to know the price of that AP∆ puppy(?).

No way. By 2016 they will be out of business if they don't launch it during 2010-11

In the interview Jean-Pierre Beauviala says that the ssd mag will exist in 2 years?

Looks too heavy for me. I'm not as young as I used to be. I bet it costs a fair amount too.
