Shot on RED ONE 4K with Zeiss Standard Speeds in Hong Kong. Cameras provided by digitalmagic (thanks Percy!!!) because ours was stuck in the US upgrading to M-X :)

We shot a short film as a preview of what we would be able to do and are looking for financing for the feature version of this. Come on, who wouldn't want to see Vampires vs. Angels in Hong Kong?

more information and who to contact about this project on http://www.rockginger.com/ !

Comments and questions welcome, as usual.

Hey XiaoSu,

Stunning footage! Looks great. Looking forward to see the short & movie.

Hey feel free to bring your MX Red (or footage, etc.) to HK Red Users Group Meeting #2, 27 April, 7-10pm. Location: RANDOM ART WORKSHOP (RAW), Unit 1203, 12/F, Island Beverley, 1 Great George Street, Causeway Bay

Good luck with the rest of production!

cheers, Dan

Great shots! I like the atmosphere. Strong "Hong Kong" feeling (I love this city). I like how you put the lights in the interior shots.
Very promising.
Thanks for sharing,
Marc

Hey Dan, unfortunately we are on our way to Bangkok already,

thanks for the invitation anyways, maybe next time when we're in town!

Looks lovely!

Im curious as to wether you are sharpening these, and if so how and how much?

Your stuff always looks very crisp, but certainly not over sharped. I personally have so far completely avoided sharpening, as I've thus far found it to strip some of the filmic aspect of the Red footage. It seems like maybe you've found a nice balance.

Or maybe your just using relatively sharp glass and have a great AC?

Hey, we're working on the short film at the moment.

We're looking for funding so we can hire a writer as well, or if anyone who writes wants to help out... let us know!

Yes, some sharpening has been done on those. I always try to find a good bridge between crisp and oversharpened...

Sorry, can't release too much more at the moment, only as soon as the short film has been finished...

Lighting wise we hung around 16 4banks in the "wing-room" and did some more partial hanging in the other rooms, because of the action scenes that needed 360 degrees we used only two 2feet 4banks on stands to accetuate the key, everything else was prelit from above.

That's a great look you got going there! If you ever have the time around to produce a making-of I'd be the first one to watch it!
Rock on! :emote_hippie:
