So I just came back from a preview screening of Kick-Ass with a Q&A with the director...

This film has forged its own genre of action-comedy and kicked the shit out of it. A recommended must see.. Action packed and delightful.

Foul mouthed 12 year old Chloe Moretz is someone to look out for.. She's going to fricken RULE Hollywood.

Okay you cunts.. Lets see what you can do now!

It looks like an Art House Indie action movie.. Crazy

I remember thinking the same thing about a foul mouthed 12 year old Natalie Portman years ago and she never really went on to the levels of stardom I thought she'd attain. Levels of hotness yes, but stardom no. Granted she's a well known named actress but I thought she'd be HUGE.

Glad to hear someone give this movie a nice review, I've got high hopes for it.

It doesn't give me the art house vibe at all. It does have a low budget or indie vibe to it, but I think that has more to do with art direction, production style etc.. to match the low rent, indie super heroes within. :)

Looks like a fun movie. Also looks like Nicholas Cage could do alright as BatMan, but I just can't picture him as Bruce Wayne. So Big Daddy will have to do... Hehe.

It definitely aint art-house, and it doesn't have an indy vibe about it at all.. But it is indeed plenty of fun. From a filmmaking point of view, its also quite inspiring to see how far child actors can be pushed in a story line, and for that matter the essence of great script writing..

What makes the movie is "Hit Girl" more than anything.
