  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Fan noise no fun

Makes sense. Glad to hear it's quiet again! :bigear:

Just seems like there are a lot of users making blanket statements about the camera as if they were clear facts rather than potentially issues caused by their own settings.

Gets a bit frustrating, particularly when it doesn't match the experience of most users. :cheers2:
Good points. Was actually trying to be helpful to some having the noise problem and since mine went away (whether self-inflicted or not:smile5:) when on Build 30.4.1, thought that info might be of some help.

But I totally agree with your concerns vis a vis the blanket statements.

And you were, especially since the issue did go away.

I didn't mean to appear condescending and apologize if I did.

Again, just frustrated.

Didn't take it that way at all. :cheers2:

BTW, have you seen the documentary on Ingmar Begman when he finds out that the irritating noise in his headphones comes from the new (2002) digital HD cameras they where shooting his “Saraband” with, the Thomson 6000? He wasn’t glad...

I also have a Thomson camera. When it's critical, I turn the fans OFF completely. In this mode the camera is dead silent, doesn't make a peep of sound. Usually "low" fan mode is quiet enough though and it will still keep the camera cooled.
