Is there a plug-in or filter for FCP that can display the scene number and take number for every shot, based on the logging bin information?

A good idea

BUMP

Anyone? Is there any tool that can do this yet?

You can burn in the Metadata information during conversion, but I haven't seen a plugin that will do it in real time.

YEs, there is the timecode window in FCP 7, you can change the preferences for the timecode window to show clip name, scene, shot ect... Look it up in the help menu.

I looked in help and I couldn't find any such information, and TC Generator and Reader don't seem to have this option. Where do I find this option?

A very robust solution and one that in my opinion should be by default part of any good on-set data management workflow is clipfinder and its ability to create custom fields for scene/take that will carry through as metadata into either FCP or Avid. It is by far and large the best $100 you can spend if you work with r3d files and is the ultimate swiss army of software tools that will allow you to do just about anything RED related. ---> http://www.hamingja.ch
