Hi,

Both RedcineX 101 and 104 crashes. (158 is just for mac right now, correct?)

RedcineX loads up fine. I can browse clips and see the thumbnails. When a clip is dropped in the timeline or doubleclicked, the background turns light grey. The player displays the clip file name, etc. But when I click on anything, play button, timeline, or even the workspace, it crashes and the windows 7 message box says its closing the prorgram and gives the problem details (included below). This only happens with a clip loaded in the player. If it's just displaying thumbnails or showing nothing, I can click on the play button or move the lift gamma gain without a crash.

I've used redcine (not redcinex) before on this same dell system running xp pro 64.

Footage was shot on my RedOne (not mx) with the latest beta build 30. No problems with recording, etc.

System Info:
Windows 7 Pro
Dell, Intel Xeon x5355 2.66GHz
4GB RAM
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500

I googled "OPENGL32.dll" and didn't come up with anything useful. And I can't find verbose logging on windows 7.

That's all the info that I can think of that would be helpful. Let me know if more is needed to troubleshoot.

Thanks!

Do you have another graphics card you can try?

I have the ATI x1900 xt card in my mac tower. Can I use that?

I'll do the swap tonight when I get home from work and let you know. Thanks for your quick response, Deanan.

Okay, that was a complete bust. After a last minute run to Best Buy because I bent my cable pins, I found out that neither card works in the other computer.

So... what now? I'd hate to think my at-the-time-expensive nvidia quadro is useless. ugh.

I'll go try my mactower for now, but I'm going to eventually need to be able to work on my Dell too. What are the approved, known to be working graphic cards?

Is it too much to hope that maybe the next RedcineX version will suddenly work on the nvidia? Or since Jarred does 3d work, a quadro fx3500 might come in handy? :)

We did make a bunch of changes from 104 to 158 for the opengl so that might change things. Really hard to tell until you test it. A few more days and we'll have the win version out.

UPDATE: I got it to work. I upgraded to Windows 7 64bit and then downloaded the latest drivers at Nvidia.
