Looks like "El secreto de sus ojos", the Argentinian film that is running for the Oscar for best foreign picture was also shot on RED. Aint that amazing?
I just saw it and it looks awesome.
Congrats on the RED team for changing history.
I hope this one wins.

Yes a truly great film. Shame it does not seem to be on release in the UK...maybe if it wins...

Beyond the 4K sharpness, colors truly vivid indeed. I'd say it would be 35mm if I hadn't checked the technical specs of my tonight's screening first.

Congrats guys, extending them to the RED team as well.

That´s true, shot by mid 2008 with the first RED that came to the country... owned by the film´s director. Campanella. Build 15.

The first Oscar! Congratulations to both sides... customers/moviemakers and RED team. Jim, Jarred, Ted, Jon, Graeme and Co, these guys are making history tonight!

And with a foreign language and latin movie, with the exception of the stadium shot and a few bit of shots ; ) there's no substantial VFX to take it over, nada, just the RED loyal clientele basis... it couldn't be better!

Roberto, I think we latins and redders are both proud. LOL

;-)

Trust me... we are celebrating!

This is the second Oscar for an Argentinean feature. First one was "La Historia Oficial" back in the early 80´s... by the way shot by the same DP, Félix "Chango" Monti!
He confessed he suffered a little bit before and at the beginning of the shooting... no one in the crew had ever seen a RED before, no previous experience at all! But they managed...
