Are there any Mysterium-X cameras available for rent in TX, preferably in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

Try Craig at Gearrental.com. They have a very early number camera (something like #11), but I don't know if they upgraded to MX or not.

Next would be Michael Morlan at Austinfilmtools.com, he has #414 I think, but again I don't know that he upgraded to MX.

Gear's not updated yet and I'm currently using michael's. Neither are upgraded yet. There's no mx in Austin yet that I know of.

Texas and California are not that far away. How long do you need it for?

Michael T.

We would need it for about 20 days in April for a feature. We have a RED, but our number is fairly high, and I doubt we'll be able to upgrade in time. I'd like to use an M-X camera to shoot it and I'm looking into our options. Our DP is from LA, so if we can't find anything locally I'm sure he will be able to help us get an M-X from California.

I have a low serial number camera.

If you want to rent it.

Please let me know ASAP.

I will bring it to Texas, I've been wanting to visit there any way.

Thanks

Michael T.

I have one in Louisiana, just a hop-skip and jump away....literally a short drive to Dallas. By April we should have two M-X bodies.

We also have all the glass and accessories you can dream of as well full tech support. Our cameras are perfectly calibrated and bench tested prior to every rental.

I'm in Dallas and my number is up. However, I'm waiting for shipping instructions from Nick. Due to the overwhelming response to the upgrade offer, and a delay in receiving some components, turnaround time is about 30 days and they have quite a backlog of cameras in the que. I'm hoping I'll have my camera back in early April.

what number / when did you take delivery....?

#0031 was there for four days, but now back in LA - Entourage and American Idol this weekend!

don't mess with Texas!

My camera is 74X. It was scheduled for delivery in Oct/Nov '07, but I delayed it until Feb '08 as I was on the east coast working on a feature. My camera is currently at RED, but I'm not expecting it until sometime next month.

Mysterium X available for Rent

We have two cameras with Mysterium X sensors and all accessories. We ship our cameras all over the world, and in fact, just got ours back from shoots in New Orleans and Dallas.

If we can be of assistance please drop me a note here or visithttp://shootwithred.com/.

I believe Plus 8 Digital -- which is the Houston Panavision House, says they have 4 M-X's in their inventory.

ANN SOMOGYE is the contact...

Reference Pierre from NewDef as the referral...They have a great team over there.

I received an email stating my camera's conversion will be complete early next week,
so it could be back 'home' in Dallas, by the 9th of April.
We'll be using it on ACE WONDER: Message From A Dead Man, shooting for 4 weeks
in Tennessee and two weeks back here in the Dallas area. Really looking forward to
seeing the vastly improved low level images as we have a lot of night scenes for that
film.
