Whats up Mike,
It's the red cradle minus the battery plate.. I just took it off. Cradle is attached to the Element Technica Cheeseplate.. I love having the red drive out of the way of the rear.

Forgot to mention the Red Drive worked out like a champ.

Theres also nothing like having the immediate gratification of being able to check out footage and stills to show the clients. It results in instantaneous..WOWs from everyone. It gets everyone more excited and motivated throughout the shoot.

Exciting again. The worst for me is that I know my first shoot with a Red will likely be on a tight schedule so doing too much ogling likely won't be in the cards.

On this set I was doing all of the lens changes and all of the camera settings. It changes from project to project. Dp says he wants iso at 320..boom iso 320. Dp wants zebras set to 100..boom set to 100. During the shoot.. my job as a DIT is to make operation of the camera as seamless as possible. The last thing the director or dp wants to do is fiddle with the knobs trying to find where false color is, for example. Most times, I think it is better that no one else fiddles with the settings.. if they try to click through too quick, they could end up unintentionally activating or changing a setting.
