Corrupt footage

Our (idiotic) digital tech daisy-chained two of our Lacie D2 Quadra 1TB hard drives together. One had footage, the other was brand new. He somehow managed to reformat both drives - not just the one.

We ran REDundead and recovered all the files. However, a bunch of the files will not convert to .mov files now (using REDrushes). Sometimes the program will lock up, other times it'll only render 81 frames.

Any suggestions or ideas? We're willing to pay someone ONLY if they're able to recover the footage - not just for trying.

Did he write anything to the drive after the reformat? If so, you may have simply lost parts of the footage forever. There is a secondary backup right?
