Hi,

I don't own an avid but made some files for a avid house and they said they did not want the mxf (they wanted 422prores) cuz there was some issue with the relinking of the audio on their system with the MXF transcode from the redrocket program. Is this the case? Thanks.

The only known issue of audio relinking in Media Composer is that the editor is created a film based project and not a straight up video (ie: 1080p/23.976). When creating a film based project, the audio rate is different due to the 1/4 frame resync feature set. This will be addressed in the next release. In the meantime, files that are both V+A from RocketCine should be used in a non film project. BWF files imported directly into a film based project do not have this issue.

I've had a very similar request in the past because they were moving the project between a few different Avid's and the apparently ALE support wasn't uniform across what hey were using (major TV network)

I don't quite understand the issue of ALE has for the project moving different Avids. Once the ALE has been merge/used in the intial project - it is not used again as the metadata is now applied.
