Just wondering how people are using the framing tool.

Say you wanted to export a 4:3 center cut, or a custom frame, what is the procedure, and how can you verify the framing you choose for your export?

Just curious, as there are two tools, the framing tool and the framing preset tool. When I change the numbers in the framing tool, even when going to the framing preset tool and then making a preset and hitting apply, there is no change in my viewer.

Any feedback on the framing tool is appreciated.

Framing in the playback window apparently is not implemented yet. I take this to mean that it will be in the final release version... I agree, it is a pain in the butt but hopefully a temporary one.

It will go into the viewer eventually (our todo list is gigantic and we can't do everything at once).

The framing tool will show what the settings are for the current clip in the player.

Thanks for your Response Deanan. No worries. The difficulty that I am having is when I go to export I have the framing tool set Fit Width but my exported files still end up being stretched. I am pretty sure that I am making some dumb mistake but I just can't figure out what it is.

The confusion could be with where it's being set.
Just to be sure, try dragging the clip from the bin
into the player and then apply a framing preset.
If you drag another clip to the player and then back to
the clip you set, you should see it switch back and forth.

Got it, the framing preset is the the missing piece of my puzzle. Thanks again.
I also sent you those logs, It is most likely that my computer is just under powered for this sort of thing.

cheers
