Conceived for the “Pop Life: Art in a Material World” exhibit at London’s Tate Modern museum, “Akihabara Majokko Princess” was directed by McG (“Terminator Salvation”) and produced by Eriks Krumins of Backyard Productions. The project was shot on the RED One camera over two days in the streets Tokyo's pop cultural mecca, the Akihabara district, with Company 3 providing a custom post workflow, as well as color correction, visual effects and digital delivery. Because of the need for quick turnaround, final delivery was a cooperative effort with Rushes, Company 3’s sister company in the UK.

Hey Philip, I remember that shoot because we were working with another American crew here at the time with our cameras (for the Tokyo Olympic bid) and people kept thinking we were your production! :D

If anyone wants Akiba or Harajuku Red footage (or any other Japanese stock footage for that matter), just let us know. Our office is 12 minutes away by train :)

Cheers for the info!

Paul
