The Future of Display Interfaces

Thought this was an interesting piece of white paper that some might like to see on what the future holds in Display interfaces. HDMI still has some life left in it with v. 1.3, but looks like the Display Port Interface---well, at least according to the following white paper will be the winner at 10.8Gbit/sec.

Intel has developed and partnered with Apple and Sony to release "Light Peak" some time this and next year as a universal interface to replace every connector, from audio to video and data communications.

It is fiber optic communication, so in theory will be the last physical connector and cable we will use until everything goes wireless...

I hope Red jumps on the bandwagon ASAP or goes wireless to an external data recorder, now that would be awesome...
