Installed the newest build before going on and shooting eagles yesterday. Installed, black shaded, all that crap. Then rebooted.

Camera went into it's preload, I saw a picture, then when it went into the second half of the preload, the picture goes BLACK..

Not good...

Re-did the install / black shade process, and tried again.. Same thing.

So I said "screw it" and went back to build 20. Worked perfectly.

It's not a huge deal to me.. But I thought someone on here should know.

Jay,

When you say "the current build," do you mean 21.4.1?

That might be important now, and it will almost certainly be important if someone reads this a few months down the road, and we're on a completely different build.

Jay, did you have anything else plugged into the camera? I have found that if you have a aux 12v cable plugged in while booting you get a black screen...

Nathan... I am willing to bet that was it! I had TWO things plugged in!

Thanks!

Of course I would consider this a bug on RED's part as the other builds do not have this issue.. So I'll just happily wait until it's fixed before I install a later build.

Thanks for clearing that up!!

Jay, we had this same thing happen last week with SN206. What SN is yours - wondering if it is something slightly different with the older cameras?

I didn't file a ticket, as we are up to our as*** getting ready for a Bahamas trip this weekend, but if you get around to it, mention 206 as well.

I'm not rushing to get to it either.. Honestly I was fine with Build 20...

From what I understand they read these forums anyway...

I'm sure they will get to it.
