we were watching a DVD movie, Heavens Fall, in 480p last night on a 32" 720p HDTV. Suzy mentioned that the image looked a little "squiggly" compared to her mom's 1080p 42" Sony. It turned out on closer inspection though that what we were seeing was the grain of the original film. This was filmed on Fuji color negative with Panavision cameras and lenses according to the credits. Does anyone know if this was shot in 16mm with the Elaine? It did look fairly grainy in some shots, even though they were daytime and looked to be lit and exposed pretty hot.

Thanks Ryan. I am surprised by how grainy this film was if it was 35mm.
