RED is RED from rust

RED is RED from rust

I have taken my RED around the world about 5 times now. So airplanes and a lot of transport. My naga arms are red from rust?. Most of the bolt are red as well. And the camera has allways been dry????. IN flighcases.
My DC supply from charger never worked. The charge only charge on one side. If i use the power supply .THe first day i got it. I get a shock.

But in general. This camera is a TANK. Hard to break.

I would like to change the bolt. But i dont think RED would like that. And sending it in is to much for red bolts.

SO my camera is Real RED camera.

Cheers

Bo

My RED #476 is in pretty good shape 2 years after delivery, it has some minor scratches on the body, but I think it looks good because it gives the camera a certain personality. The LCD has a scratch from a costumer, and the power socket no longer relays info on battery status - this I hope to get fixed when upgrading to M-X.

With the M-X sensor I am pretty sure #476 will be in service for many many many years, along with newer models (Epic).

Seems like everyone has a scratch on their 5.6" LCD. Me too. :yesnod:

For my 7" LCD I bought a rhino glass. Perfect protection here!

No real scratches on my LCD, but it does have a few smallish bruises. The pixels aren't dead, and it works fine. You mostly see these bruises when looking at white walls, etc.

The body itself is in great shape. I do love that powder coating. Great stuff, whatever it is.

About to go in for the M-X upgrade in preparation for our next feature in the fall.

All perfect condition here, but then again, all they ever shoot is charts. It's you guys who get to shoot the fun stuff! Sometimes I get jealous...

A lot of shorts and commercials, and few features under its belt, but Red #711 is looking good. Always with me; if rented, the contract must have a clause that attaches to my son or myself to it. :auto:

My camera has some mileage on it, but really looks pretty good. One nick on the top, the RED logo fell off the front (not so bad anyway because it won't show up in any shots), but otherwise, in really great shape. Camera only goes out when I'm shooting or DITing, so usually it's not too far out of my sight. I'm lucky, my camera has worked pretty well overall. Not many problems. Like others, I have experienced some boot up issues, mostly in the past now. Two years into this now, and the camera is holding up well (knocking on every piece of wood I can find). Actually, truth be told, the R1 I have right now is a better camera than when I took delivery, and is about to get even better when it gets M-Xed. How's that for depreciation?
