  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IMS news please

I know Jarred is going to do everything he can within reason. I am going to start sending P+S friendly reminders that I have money for them as soon as they get things sorted with Red. I am guessing that there is quite a few $$$ to be made by P+S once things are on good terms.

i remember jarred is saying that he is going to talk to ims on january. Good or bad, bring it on.

...as long as it is not a Birger "early ´09" :)

Seriously though, I would still love an IMS for my RED. That way I could use my lenses, but at some point make the (slow) transistion to RED PL primes. Right now it is either or, but I would prefer the Winnie the Pooh approach much better.

Hey Martin,

I gave up 5 months ago and I'm really glad I did.

Went to Nikon Zeiss ZF Primes and love them.

While I was waiting I only had the Red 18-50 but found it too limiting as an only lens. No low-light plus limited focal length.

When the Red Primes are available, I'll probably get them, but in the meantime, I'm shooting great stuff and loving it!

Looking forward to give a test proof about that (probably not with Leo) when I get M-X upgrade one day....

Does your camera qualify for an upgrade since you voided warranty by installing the IMS mount?

My RED1 is too old and warranty time expired last year anyway.

Also I'm always able to exchange IMS to the original RED PL mount in about 10 minutes

if any of my potential rental customers would require R1 PL because of i/pins...

I never had any issue with it before...
