hi there people ..i have to change the monitor of my steadicam (mk-v) and im looking to hd monitors , cause i have been working a lot with the red one .....and the big question is i must get one with hmi imput or sdi imput ..i ask this cause im looking at the Marshall V-LCD70P and it have the option on sdi or hdmi ...
my first felling its that hdmi its not so good as sdi ..
please let me now what u think ...and if u have some other option of monitor let me know ....(i now the new transvideo hd ..to much money for me )
thanks a lot ...

The RED One sends out a HDMI signal that not all monitors accept, you should try before you make a decision or go with HDSDI. Also HDSDI cables tend to be more flexible and easier to connect/disconnect. Other then that I don't think there is a quality difference in the image.

Genericly HDMI and HDSDI can transport the same signal over a different hose and with different connectors, What RED sends out these connectors I do not know. HDSDI Monitors may be better monitors but HDMI monitors tend to be cheaper. The chip set for transmitting and receiving HDMI is less costly.

Not quite. HDMI is very similar to DVI; but is very different to the SDI serial video spec.
