Hello my friends,

I am honored to announce that Jim Elias, Michael Zeisse, and I have joined The Camera Dynamics Team. We will be working closely with Ali Ahmadi to bring you products with superior service and great price vs. performance.

We are preparing a formal and official announcement to our valued customers, distributors and dealers on Monday, January 18th, at which time we will release further details about this new and exciting product line.

OConnor is one of the leading brands in the cinematography world and the announcement on January 18th will clearly show our intentions to continue to grow the OConnor brand.

That being said… who should I speak with about changing “Registered User” to “REDuser Sponsor?” :smile5:

Abel Cine Tech is very much looking forward to these new offerings from O'Connor.

Will this include a new spreader for the 25L? I was really excited to get my first Oconnor just a few weeks ago (having wanted one for years), and on the first gig my 25L spreader snapped, so I got a 2nd one and on its 1st gig it broke a part too. 2 for 2. I love the 25L tripod itself, but a spreader that was more robust and befitting the 1030s head (which I also love) would be welcome. My ACs keep demanding I get Ronford sticks but I'd like to stay Oconnor if possible.

I completely agree. Spent too much money on these spreaders already. Now the sticks sit on a shelf as I use my miller sticks.

I met Eric at ARRI and he's even in the RED101 DVD! He's an amazing guy with a lot of talent. O'Connor is lucky to have him.

Come to think of it, we're lucky too!

Best of luck Eric!

Jay

I've known Eric for a while and we've done business together many times while he was at ARRI. He is one of the good guys. He cares about what he does, listens to customers and has good ideas. I've also done some work for Vitec Group (which owns O'Connor) and there are some "significant" resources there and O'Connor is a solid brand in the industry. I expect great things. Congrats to Eric & Jim!

Congrats on your new move Eric .

As a rental company that regularly needs part and repairs, Oconnor is by far the most responsive manufacturer I deal with. Jeanine McQuillan is a total rock star to work with. So please be careful not to change what works really well.

Now if you could clone Jeanine and make her responsible for parts and repair at Sachtler and Arri..............

Best
John

Hello my friends,

I am honored to announce that Jim Elias, Michael Zeisse, and I have joined The Camera Dynamics Team.

Forgive me gentlemen, I am trying to piece this together. I know the folks at O'Connor very well. Did you guys work for Arri?

Thanks,
Rich

Congratulations Eric!
Arri's loss, and CD's gain.
Eric was always very helpful to me while at Arri Blauvelt.
Eric, I finally made those hard mattes for the LMB-4A. Thanks for the helpful info there...
Cheers,
Harry

Congratulations Eric. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next.

Actually I have a suggestion.

On the 2575 when you tilt 90˚ forward the top of the head interferes with the pan lock. As in: I can't lock the pan and achieve a full 90˚ downward angle.

suggestion here too.

2060HD - the lock can go up to far, so it interferes with the release lever on the side...

Also the pan and tilt knobs are very small making them hard to turn...

And they are on different sides, so you kind of fumble after them...

Other than that I love my o'connor head...
