  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Truly affordable follow focus system $119

Good work David. I own an Arri FF which I purchased new. I make my living, and my mortgage, as a Dir / DP and it still took me 4 years to "break even" on the Arri FF. I wish there was a product like this when I was starting out, a short 15 years ago. Back then I was using rubber bands and a discarded Fujinon TV focus demand on a 16BL and S16mm modified ACL. At best I was making PA rates as a cameraman, there was no way I could afford any of the FF options on the market. Nice work! Today I would have no problem using your FF on a "commercial job," in the right context.
 
I bought a kit for my 5DII from India made by proaim and have to say Im quite impressed. It includes a Follow focus and different lens adapters and it works really smooth with my 24-70mm. The FF has nearly no play. Than I got a shoulder mount, rods, quick release, base plate and handles . All very solid made, exept for the quick release, where you have to be patient. I think it cost something like 400$. It works really fine for that price point and it matches very well with my 5DII
