  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Feature Film Trailer - My friend, Oscar.

Dude, Carl Weathers is a hero, I would be proud to have the guy from Predator recut my trailer ;-)

You guys definitely worked your butts off. Not to diminish what you've done, but a lot of that 10 million goes to paychecks for everyone involved.

$10mil would write a lot of cheques! My guess is they didn't have a crew of 30 working 12 hour days.

My guess is they could have paid everyone involved and probably not spent more than $500,000, leaving $9.5 mil to spend on sets, sound design, more time/flexibility etc.

I've seen $100m+ pictures with "worser" acting from so-called "talent"!

Could you possibly let me know which Nikon's you used. I am filming my first Red feature in June but budget constraints limit me to my old, faithful (and extensive) collection of Nikkors. Your results are stunning and would tend to offset any previous hesitations I might have had about going down this route.

Just a question about the focus pulling... as nikkors don't have geared focus rings, did you use a rubber coating on your contact wheel to drive the Nikkors?

Totally got me at the end there in the trailer. Intrigued to see how this one turns out. Nice work. Sure seems like a bigger budget film than $3500.

If possible, hopefully you are able to leverage the trailer to get some finishing funds for things like sound mix and final mastering. The movie looks very promising based on the trailer, hopefully that is translating to some interest from distributors.
 
My friend, Oscar. has been selected to the New Orleans Film Festival and is an award finalist!
Screen dates are:

Sunday, October 16 - 12:30pm at the CAC
Wednesday, October 19 - 7:15pm @ The Theatres at Canal Place (digital screening)
