Does anyone know what cameras were used to get the gun mounted POV shots that were used in the shootouts in District 9? Not a RED or an EX1, must be something else.

There was a post/thread about it on RedUser a while ago (can't find it of course), but I seem to remember they used some kind of clever rig to support the camera (can't remember the full details)...you could PM Jonathan Smiles on these forums - he was the DIT/Data Tech on District 9 so should know...

Before I read the post I thought you were referring to people POV shots.
It reminded me of Crank, where they used a body mount on Jason Statham.
A little weird, because the image is not going to be centered, unless a special lens is used of course, and in the action the character's hands are constantly visible.
