I'm having a peculiar issue with REDRushes, and after some searching I can't seem to find a solution. So I turn to you, REDUser...
I have 17 clips that were shot at 4K HD, 6 of which I successfully transcoded to 1080p ProRes HQ files using REDRushes v3.6.
The other 11 clips came out at an even 4GB for each file (even though they vary in length) and I can't play them.
The files that do work open up in Quicktime no problem, and Finder displays the duration, dimensions, etc. just as it would for any other QT file. The other files don't give me any info, only that it's an even 4GB.
I downloaded the latest REDCine-X two days ago and have been attempting to export with that but to no avail, I'm getting the same results.
After neither of those worked I tried out Clipfinder... same problem.
I also downloaded the latest RED Code codec for QT (not sure if that would really make a difference though).
The first batch export I did only a few clips came out OK, I think it was 4 different clips the first time. So I assumed it was just a glitch in that render and I'd try it again, I thought maybe after a restart it would work. So I dumped those clips and started another batch, but the second time around a different set of clips were successful.
I've been trying to render the same 11 unsuccessful clips, but every time they come out an even 4gb each and unplayable.
My settings...
4K HD .r3d files to ProRes 422 HQ 1920x1080
Color Space = REDSpace
Debayer = High/Half (tried full as well)
Look Source = Camera
Resample Filter = CatmulRom (sharp)
Mac Pro
OSX v10.5.8
2x Quad-Core Intel processor
10GB RAM
FCP Studio 3
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Please help, I'm puzzled.
