Assign False Color function to User 2 button?

I want to assign False Color mode to number two button on the side but there's no such preset in Keymap menu. How can i get it? It'd be even better to hang *any* custom mode or function on the button. Is it possible or we are limited by present presets?

You can do it:
preferences/keymap/userkeys
then assign #2 to color.
I have it set up that way on mine. Build 18.

I do it on build 17. You have to choose also color and not high edge (or something like that).

When i assign it to color, it simply switches to BW but not to False Color. I believe, i got to change the default color function to false color but i can't locate required menu. I mean i see the color menu, and it's currently in disabled position because when i change it to False Color, monitor starts to preview in this mode, but i only need it to toggle by that button on and off.

This is part of the Red. Some unexplained "behavior". Tomorrow everything can be fine.

I believe it's in the menu :Video :Viewfinder :Color. There are three options: Monochrome, False Color or Edge Highlight.

However, I like the false color function, I use it as one of my tools in the pre-assigned buttons. This and the zoom for quick focus check.
I know Red company think I am hard on them, criticizing for bad design, when I find good things I don't save from saying it loudly.
On the EVF I assign RAW view, RGB parade to see if any chanel is not strong enough.
However, sometimes I get not a desirable 'behavior" from the camera and I have to go into the menu and re-assign the functions again.

Right now you can only assign one of those, and I'd really like to use both easily (wihout have to go through the menus each time to switch between them).
Or at least, make a button that switches between false color, edge highlight and normal...

You are right. There are other functions we all like to see in the camera, like thumbnails in playback mode. However, I am afraid all forces are working on the next thing, the Epic.
