Back Focus Will Not Budge

Hi Guys,

I am trying to adjust the Back Focus, but it will not move! I have completely removed the screws holding the backfocus in place, but it still will not move. I can get it to go anti-clockwise by pushing against the area where the screws go, but not the other way....which is where it needs to go to get the backfocus set. Any ideas??? I thought it would move quite freely....I guess I am wrong.

The Red Lenses...but I've even taken it off.
I've now discovered if I get a small tool, I can open up the plastic backfocus ring, and move it...but this does not then grip down on the backfocus ridged ring underneath, and subsequently, it wont move. I don't want to get too physical with it, but it seems I might have to...

It sounds to me that by taking the bolts out you let the split ring expand too much and it jumped a thread and is now cross threaded. Take it to Red, or if you are far from read go to a machine shop. But I certainly wouldn't force it. I would not recommend taking the bolts out in the future.
