Places to buy cheap equipment/acessories

I have searched, and found some things, but perhaps you know other places that sell the same product at a cheaper price.

This is the cheapest I found, that is at least good compared not just cheap and crappy:

Dont really think the RR fits that argument. Its good for the price, but is the cheap option.

I dont really understand what youre asking. Have you found someone who sells RR stuff at a discount?

On a side note, you may have already done it, but you need to put in a request to change your username.

My father used to say he is not rich enough to buy cheap things.
$545 for a follow focus it is not just cheap, it is almost free. I would be very careful with what I will be getting for that amount.
Arriflex is still the best but it will cost you 10 times more.
Red will be coming with a matte box during 2010 and if to judge by their RPP it maybe even good.

You've already found the least expensive but still very decent stuff out there. You won't find thins for much less than these prices.

Alright. So, the follow focus from what I understand is a good price, and will most likely not find any cheaper.

I kept on looking and didn't find anything cheaper than what I have listed.
But, the big one is the Zacuto kit. Anyone have know where I can find something similar but with a lower price? There stuff is so expensive!

youll no doubt find some cheaper Indian ones on Ebay, but you get what you pay for.

Start small man, buy kit gradually. You could probably get by without half that kit for a while. Buy a good lens and a cheaper shoulder solution and then get a FF and MB later.

I'm not going to get it all at once. I want the shoulder mount, follow focus & whip first. Like the Zacuto kit. The matte box, I will get last.

Do you guys recommend the Cavision basic mini follow focus? to be used on the Zacuto kit...

or just get this whole setup instead of the Zacuto set up. Its half the cost.

Found some new stuff. Didnt see that Redrock had a similar setup to zacuto. Basically I can get everything I originally wanted, but nearly half the cost.
