Is there a "Remote Switch" available that will work on a Scarlet?

Because of the wildlife work we do, I need, and must have, an on/off switch that I can attach to the tripod handle. It can connect to the camera via a cord or remote, as long as it turns on "instantly".

If you know of such a thing, please tell me where I can buy one. According to RED, they don't make it.

Thanks.

The REDMOTE is wireless and has all the camera controls on it. I doubt it can turn the camera on and off, but it should be able to put in and out of standby mode.

REDMOTE ?? I see no Redmote on RED's website. Does someone else carry this? Are there any other alternatives?

Sorry! I found it. It's on the Scarlet accessories price list. I can't find any details about it, but it's there.

NO, sorry everybody, but the RedMote will NOT work. I "must" have something I can attach to the fluid head handle.

The RedMote sits on the back end of the Scarlet, and therefore, will not work for my purposes.

Any more suggestions?

Try and be patient and wait for the camera to com out first before deciding the redmote will not work. You may find that it is much better than any thintg else on the market. Besides you may need a simple way to attach it to your tripod handle or where ever you want to attach it.

The redmote is a detachable unit. You can take it and operate the camera from upto 100 feet away.
