Dear All,
I am buying a Red now.
But I would like to know the options of purchasing the power system and monitoring system.
For the power system, there is a Red Power Pack with charger and bricks and etc in Red shop. I am wondering if it is the only option for powering. Particularly, it is not available in Red shop. Can I buy other batteries from other branches?
About monitoring, I realized that it has bunch of information on the viewfinder, like false color. I am wondering if this kind of information will appear only EVF or both EVF and monitors. Also, if I use a Panasonic monitor, can the Panasonic monitor also show the information, or it is only exclusive for Red monitor?
Thanks in advance.

King,

Welcome to the forum. Somehow you managed to oversee the big notice that this is a real name forum. Please get in touch with jason at landmine dot tv to get your real name sorted asap.

You can use any battery that has about 12/14.4 V power. I for example am also using IDX and Global Media Pro batteries.

You can use any monitor. The R1 also has a HDMI out port, which supports many LCD monitors. Do a search on the forum to see which ones do - or take your camera along to a supplier.

Happy shooting!

Thanks, Martin. I will contact Jason asap.

About the battery, can I attach the battery directly on Red One, or I need to purchase any kind of arm or something to let the battery stay on the camera?

About the monitor, does it mean that as long as the monitor - no matter what the brand is, even non-Red monitor - has HDMI out, it can show all the information, like false color on the monitor?

Thanks.
