Hmm.. Why is this person only selling one out of the set? A bit odd.
He isn't lying about the value though...
A set of five MkIII Super Speeds is still good for about $50k.

I guess that price was a steal ! The auction winner could probably resale it for more.

We can offer you a fine set of near pristine Zeiss MK3's for $45K.

ive been seeing mk11 for 15k - 25k.. then theres the guys who are charging out of the Butt for them... but honestly I doubt they will sell to a smart buyer

[Jeff Steinebach]

Is there anyway I can find out the age of the MKII or MKIII ? MK3 for $45k??? When the 85mm T1.3 prime sold for $4k . I guess is it possible to find a set of MK3 for $20-25k?

[Jeff Steinebach]

How about this one guys?

Looks decent.
The cap is from Lee Utterbach, not sure if the lenses are actually from them, but Lee Utterbach ALWAYS took very good care of their glass.
ALso, the fact that he listed serial numbers is reassuring.
The price isn't bad at all considering the set is missing an 18mm.

[Jeff Steinebach]

Would it be difficult to find the 18mm?

[Matthew Duclos]

Would it be difficult to find the 18mm?

Yup. Not only because its part of the set, but because it is the most sought after lens in the set.
