A sequence on FCP that was shot on Build 21. I'm aware there isn't much support yet for the Freshly coming of Beta Build 21. But has anyone successfully been able to take the XML from FCP and online them using Crimson, or similar tools. DPX is what we want to end up with to get them into Smoke.

I have had some issues with doing a complete round trip with Crimson, but it does successfully create a cut list for Redcine. From there I have had to manually re-conform the transcodes into FCP for Color.

You might consider Monkey... does a nice job of creating DPX for Luster and Pablo systems, should do what you need for Smoke.

i have done about 5 jobs with b21 using monkey extract to conform and create dpx files and in one case use monkey extract to do my transcodes for 25fps PF stuff. it works perfectly!

and i have done 16 jobs total since b21 beta came out and many of those projects are on tv and on youtube....see my posts about alicia keys, shakira, vaseline, t-mobile, nick cannon....

Thanks Dino and Brandon,

I had intended to use Crimson. When I saw that Redcine didn't support build 21, I got a little nervous.

Thanks for your valuable input.
