Hi all,

Sadly, I am selling my RED One kit, but its time for this camera to get PUT TO WORK by a team making great cinema!

I am the original owner registered with Red. This kit was bought and painstakingly assembled for a first project that had to shoot before the Red was ready and a second that has been cancelled...

Here are the details (sale is on ebay):

This is a full Red One kit. It has NOT been used outside of basic configuring and testing in-studio (~ 15 on/off cycles and maybe 20 shots written to one of the drives).

Ship date for the body was 5/21/08 and the EVF was shipped 6/5/08. The body, batteries, and firmware were factory upgraded by the RED team. The warranty has EXPIRED, but you may be able to work out something extended with Red?

Included are (list prices provided only as reference):

Body (Ser. # 319) $17,500
Red CF module $500
Red Drives $900 x 3 = $2700
EVF $2950
LCD (5.6") $1700
Red power pack (2 bats, charger) $1450
3rd Red Brick Battery 140ah $450
Top mount $250
Top handle extension $175
Red Arm x 2 $300
Battery belt clip $290
All required cables (1 ea for red drive, evf, lcd, battery)
Base prod pack $1250 (1 universal mount, 1 red handle, 1 bottom plate, 1 shoulder dovetail, 1 top mount, 1 top handle, 1 red cradle, 2 19mm steel support rods (18"))
Custom cut Pelican 1650 case $300

LIST price for all above is ~$30,000

Asking $24k

Rig is in San Francisco, prefer local pickup. Will ship if use escrow.com.

NOTE: Price does NOT include the matte box or Arri base-plate show in pictures.

that serial number does make this seem like a good deal, by warranty expired, does that mean the epic trade in isnt viable?

I don't think the warranty expiration is an issue. More than half of Reds out there will have an expired warranty (including mine which has been expired for 6 months already) by the time the 3rd stage of the Epic X is ready.

The transfer of ownership issue time frame may negate the early delivery date advantage. Not quite sure if the original delivery date is transferred as well. Maybe someone can clarify.

Guys,

I think it is also the shipping date as well as the # you should be looking at. This is an early serial number but shipping wasn't until May 08. I think this puts it in with the mid 1500's as an estimate.
