  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Surf Movie Shot on Red with Vincent Laforet and others

yep. surfing is more fun than most things. but getting everything together 4 trips all the time is not a lot of fun. losing gear sucks. finding epic waves makes it worth it. thanks 4 all the positives on the boxing based edit. will try 2 do more with different songs and see how it works out. interesting with the red footage cause have so much frame to use.

Edit looks solid. Did you do all the editing/color correction? Like the look of some of the lifestyle clips, wondering what you used for CC. 5D foot seems to intercut OK with Red....at least on web viewing. Action/remote heli footage looks nutzzzzz.

Trailer looks great. Definitely had me hyped. Love the boxes, but as Mike said it seems if they get overused during pivotal points in the action I find some of the finest points are missed, unless you plan on using that same shot full frame later of course :)
They work great for the trailer though, definitely leaves you wanting more.

Glad to hear you are taking advantage of the over-resolution abilities to reframe, ect.

the lighting was by Vincent, used array lights and some light coming through a skylight and some from a window. I am no expert on lighting so cant describe it much more than that. sorry.
 
Great stuff Jamie.

Don't touch the boxes, they flow with the music nicely and are not too repetitive.
