  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey Guys,

So I've jumped over here from my home (Scarletuser) to let you guys know I'm headin to L.A. Nov. 7th-14th. I know, all of you are so excited, but calm down!.

I'm not moving out there, for those who are worried, just visiting friends, and sightseeing. But I do have an entire week, and no car, so everything I want to see can be done in 1-3 days, I will possibly have a lot of free time on my hands, So if anyone is shooting anything and needs an extra hand on it around the L.A. area, if I can get to you and I'm free, I'd be more than happy to help out.

I also Plan to visit the RED store, to check it out, you know just loiter until they let me see something :drool5:.

If you want to chat, I can sit for hours at starbucks talking about red (ask Steve Sherrick, he'll tell you the same).

Zac, be careful. If you get on a gig, and it turns into a regular gig you may never return to the East Coast. Oh wait, that wouldn't be the worse thing in the world. Work is work.

Seriously, have a good time while you're out there. I got to get out there soon myself. It's been a while.

And just for the record, I don't think your Jedi mindtricks are going to work in getting a Scarlet while you are out there. The guys at RED have advanced Jedi skills. :-)

Haha, do or do not, there is no try Steve! Having one isn't priority on this trip, touching a scarlet, holding the newborn in my arms... is.

And if I stay out there, who will PA all your gigs? :biggrin:

So it Appears, I will be making the Pilgrimage to the RED Store either tomorrow or Thursday, every good fanboy has to make it once in his life.
 
Haha, when I was there they mentioned a place called "the ranch".

couldnt go as I had to catch a plane, but it sounded cool.
 
Zac, have whomever is in the RED Store give me a ring so I can come say "hi".

P.S. I'm planning on stopping by Friday, would love to see some of you RED guys I know from the forums instead of just store-front staff.

Actually, the people who work the store are all full time BOMB SQUAD reps - so the same people who post on REDUSER :)

Each rep takes a shift in the store each week to get some face-time with you guys instead of just phone- and email-time, haha.

well just visited, all i can say is great job, from the moment i walked met a few of you guys, chatted for a bit, met the man himself Brent and the beautiful Kelly. you guys all seem to have your act together. Met mike im repairs whose hometown aint to far from mine. thanks again to Johnathan for showing me the Red Reels on the big screen (well bigger screen than my macbook) very fun visit , and thanks for the buzzsaw Brent.
