I give mad respect for this steadicam operator. They had one steadicam guy who couldn't keep up so had him replaced. The amount of coordination to pull this fight sequence off is astounding.

YEs that is the martial best scene i have seen . I also would have loved to see footage if any of the rehersal and preparation of all that.

In the dvd, there is a special features section that details this steadicam shot.
The bad guy he fights in the end scene is also the star of CLASH - the shot on RED film I operated on. I watched martial arts film all my life, so shooting Clash was an awesome experience. But anyways, the steadicam shot in protector is just mindblowing.

This required such a huge amount of preparation and staging, I read they could only do two takes per day. Thanks for that link Danish!

So, so amazing. Thanks for sharing Tonaci. So, how many takes of this did they do in total? The operating is amazing, and it looks great on that 10mm. I'm gonna look out for more on this guy.
