FCP 2 and newer builds.

Hey all,

I just had a client tell me he's going to be editing using FCP 2. Is there anyway to make that compatible to any later builds (say 17 or 20)?

Even FCS 3 is not (yet?) fully compatible with build 20 or later.

You can work with such footage (with the exception of files in 4.5K), but you'll need to tweak colors.

Yes you can, you just don't get the full benefits of the new color science.

I'm going to assume you mean Final Cut Studio 2, not Final Cut Pro 2.

You can always just make dailies, and cut those in an offline-online workflow.
