Red Sync with Sound Devices 702T, Ambient lockit

We just recently tried to sync a Red with a Sound Devices 702T as a master clock.
We never managed to get a frame accurate sync.
We put an Ambient Lockit box on the Red with the same result.

Red was set to Jam sync and Genlock on.

Any advice ?

I resently discovered something similiar with the SONOSAX harddisk recorder.
The recorder was set to time of day as the master and the RED set to jam sync and genlock on. Both devices ran 25 fps. Now I dont have any files in synch with audio.
The drift is random starting from a low number and increases from clip to clip. The synch between the devices has been done at every battery shift.

a dip switch or something is wrong on the lock-it. Was it set as 003? Might be the cable?

702 might need some firmware upgrades. Not 100% sure.

Thanks guys. Dip switch was not the issue. We tried all options there and had a very experienced sound guy (apart from testing all options for two days). We also shot 25fps by the way.

I have used 744 and 788 with and without Lockit boxes with Red and all worked great. It was either perfect sync or one frame out. Not sure why it would be different (0 frames or 1 frame), but it wasn't a problem.

No varispeed. We imported the footage into FCP7 via log and transfer and compared to manual slate sync.

How far off was your sync? Did you ever solve your issue? I'm about to use the same equipment for a 2 RED shoot, could use a heads up for what to expect and prevent from going wrong.
