I've purchased by accident wrong microphone replacement for my sennheiser G2 wireless original mic.

The Sennheiser mic has a mini1/8 connector, and the one I got has 3 pin lemo.
Is there any kind of adapter I could use?
Perhaps simple rewiring?

Any advise?

Thanks

Albert

I would advise returning it to the place you purchased it. Any adapter would have to be custom built, and inline adapters are never an optimal solution anyway.

You would need an inline female 3P Lemo (part# phb.00.303.clld22) - those are around $28. Then you would need the correct locking mini connector (Sennheiser part # 99112) which is another $8, and then you would need a short length of lav cord to build the adapter.

You could cut off the 3P lemo, and install the locking connector if you are comfortable with soldering tiny wires, but I would still try to send it back and get an exchange for the correct one.

Thank you Mike for all the info.
Unfortunately I can't return it as it was purchased from Ebay.
from what I see my best option is to cut and solder.
Do you have any suggestions where I can find a suitable 1/8 mini jack.

Thanks again for help

Albert

If you have a Pro Audio dealer near you that A) Has a Service Department, and B) Deals with Sennheiser Wireless - then they should have the correct connector.

What microphone did you get? The ME-2 or the MKE-2?

All Sennheiser transmitters other than the Evolution line have a 3-Pin Lemo input for the microphone. All Evolution transmitters have a 3.5mm locking mini connector.

Shure uses a TA4.

Thanks for all the input.
The mic is a countryman b3 and it's for the sennheiser 3pin lemo.
My transmitter is Sennheiser G2 Evolution and uses mini 1/8

Then the wiring should be:
Tip = Red
Ring = Jumper to Sleeve
Sleeve = Shield+Black
