Exciting news! Cool. Any limitations, or is it fully functioning, running on all cylinders?

From what I've seen of it, it allows as many functions as supported via the current rocket SDK, but it's most significant boost to 3cP is the reduced rendering time. 3cP doesn't usually have much problem playing back graded 4k on a fast Mac Pro. I think I even get 12-18fps playback on my MacBook Pro laptop, depending on the drive speed.

Very glad to hear about the Rocket support shame am on the other side of the world and can't make it for any of the tutorials though. Any chance of something happening down under?

Also can we play back realtime graded 4k in 3CP with Red Rocket or does it just accelerate media compression?

How can the current user get update for the version 4?

4k at 1k? or do you mean full 4k ?

How do you turn on Rocket support? I don't get an image through SDI. Does it only use the Rocket for rendering?

Full 4K files scaled down to play in the preview window of 3cP. For on set grading, you don't really need to play back 4K at 4K.

Right now the Rocket only works for rendering based on the ways that the current Rocket software allows it to work with other programs. If you wanted to display corrected footage through HDSDI you would need another card (Kona, Black Magic, etc) to do so.

However, I think Red has said that in the future the Rocket will work as a general SDI output board, so hopefully in the future it will be able to be used for this function as well.
