SONY PMW-EX30 video assist not working

[Luis Ismael]

Wanna use a video assist unit like the Sony PMW-EX30 tried all the HD Formats but the HD-SDI signal did not connect with the red signal.
Tried 24 and 25 fps and also PAL and NTSC.
Could be the red signal?
Anyone have tried this setup?

[Dave Kudrowitz]

The EX30 should be set to 720(HQ) mode, the Red's SDI signal is 720/59.94.
This should work.

Hi Chris

Tried both also. Black signal only.
