I have a clip shot and edited in 23.97 fps.

Now if I want to burn it onto DVD (PAL) I have to speed it up to 25 fps. But how do I do this?

I know this should be pretty straight forward, but... Tried Google, but there I only found heaps of info on how to get it into the NTSC world. Tried Apple discussions, again with no luck. Even tried the reduser search engine (a.k.a. desperate attempt). Tried the Compressor manual, but only found that Compressor should do this by itself. But when I set the output file from Compressor to 25fps then I get a stuttering (as in every 25th frame or so repeated), rather than a slightly shorter and higher pitched film. The same if I import the clip directly into DVD Studio Pro.

So, to cut it short: How to I speed up the film so that every single frame is preserved and the film 4% faster?

Thanks!

i would try this.

open a 25fps timeline. import 24fps footage. conform to 25 fps. speed up 4%. export as 25fps.

I'm this to figure this out myself at the moment. I'm using cs4.

So, when I have to chose the database settings in Cinema Tools, am I right at using these:

Film standard: 35mm 4p
Video TC Rate: 24 fps (does this really mean 23.967?)
Sound TC rate: same as Video TC, 24
Telecine Speed: 25

For future ease, you can simply ignore the database selection, go to open file, and then conform clip. Easy - puts it into a separate folder for you.
