Just out of curiosity. Only for RED One owners please.

I myself will go for it. Just the idea of a smaller, lighter and less power-hungry package will make it worthwhile for me. Better image quality and more features will come as a bonus.

Epic-X ....

I own three REDs. I'll definitely be going for an Epic X. That trade-in deal, and the added goodies, are way too good an offer to pass up :)

Beyond that, when they're available I'll also be buying a FF35 Epic, a FF35 Scarlet, and several fixed lens Scarlet.

Fun times ahead...

Very likely but I will have a better idea on the 30th.

I trust Red to produce a great product but none of us really know the details of the new camera yet. Knowing Red, they will be amazing.

Definitely doing Epic-X. Most likely will do the trade-in, but I may keep the RED One and buy the Epic-X and save my trade-in for the Epic FF35 or 645 later. But if I did that, then I would want to upgrade my RED One sensor so it would match the Epic-X... Too many possibilities right now. Need to see what Jim says on the 30th.

Ultimately, I plan to own Scarlet FF35, EPIC 645 and one or two 2/3" fixed lens Scarlets...

Thinking of Epic-X. . . but desperately seeking a S35 5K Monstro. Timing will also have some input. It is possible I'll upgrade the RED instead while I wait for my S35 Monstro.

I will be trading in my Red One for the Epic-X.

But not straight away.

I will wait until there is an Adobe importer for it. It took me about 4 months+ after I got my Red until I could usefully edit the footage...

But I am keen to get the Epic because:
- a 3 second start-up is so much better than waiting 75 seconds.
- batteries will last so much longer
- increased DR
- hopefully lighter weight
- hopefully (but not confirmed) long exposures possible

I've decided to trade in for X tomorrow please. Those free modules sealed the deal for me. When the FF35 Monstro's are available, I will sell the X body but keep all the DSMC modules.

I say yes, but not tomorrow please. ;-)
I need a little more time to pay for it.
