I did a search, and see that there was a warranty voiding mount for FD lenses. But there seems to be adapters available that allow you to mount the FD's on top of the EOS mount.

Anyone have an opinion on this as an option? I realize that you loose the Impero functionality, but possibly gain access to wide variety of inexpensive but potentially quality glass. Perhaps a way to gain some nice quality, fast primes?

The adapter seems to be cheap enough @ <$50.

(OK, flame suit on)

Should work. In fact, one of the cool things about the EOS mount is you can go to a lot of different mounts with inexpensive adapters. Easy to pop on a Nikon lens also.

FD Mount has shorter FFD than EF, so no. Unless someone makes and FD mount that attaches to the Birger base the same way that the Birger EF mount does, which should be pretty easy. But no one has made it yet. With those FD to EOS adapters you either lose infinity focus or else there is a lens in the adapter to give you infinity focus that is usually not very high quality.
