  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is the Scarlet Fixed lens model coming out our has that been scrapped?

Right now we have been told that everything can change, and we that should expect it to. It has been a while, on the order of months, since RED gave a big official update on the RED.com site regarding its future lineup. We have been told to expect an official update towards the end of October. So, Happy Halloween. :zombie_smiley:
 
There has been absolutely no indication at all that the fixed has been killed. In fact Jarred has recently answered questions regarding the fixed. Even after the Oct Announcement Announcement.

You can safely assume the Fixed is still something which will be offered.
 
half the people waiting for a scarlet, want the fixed.... I don't think they will back out on it now

Didn't you hear - it's not just the fixed - they've scrapped the whole Scarlet and Epic line, and now are only making the 'RED TWO', which is like the RED ONE, except for some revolutionary features like 2% better frame rates and 5% better low-light performance. You will need to buy all new accessories though, and it is now twice as expensive....



... or I just made that up and it's as full of BS as your post... Where do people come up with these ridiculous ideas? And when they've announced that they're coming out with the schedule in a week or two, why would you bother asking?
 
because instead of hitting the "search" button and doing some reading he hit the "post new thread" button so other people could do it for him.

This thread is stoopid.

Fixed lens Scarlet is still coming. There are a lot of rumors flying around out there, so it's not unreasonable that someone would come here asking such a question. That said, it still seems suspiciously troll-like.

Anyway, question answered... move along, nothing to see here.
