I ve seen all the bigger budget films shot on red (knowing, che, girlfriend experience) Just wondering if there any movies i can find at my local blockbuster shot on red without the high end post budget? Just curious how red holds up with a lower post budget.

S.Darko had a budget of about $30,000,000 if I recall correctly, and Night at the Museum 2 had a budget of £150,000,000. If that's low budget then...we must be out the recession.

Butterfly Effect 3 was shot on 35mm as well.

edit:The Girlfriend Experience had a relatively low budget I think, with minimal post processing.

edit 2: Yeh about $1,700,000.

District 9?

Yes huge CGI budget but with only 30mil to go around.... not bad at all

My film, "Works in Progress," was shot on under a $200,000 budget, with about $8000 in video post. It looks amazing. We're submitting to all the major US festivals right now (unfortunately, we had to submit the proxy-filed-edited version to Sundance). But that's not low budget. That's micro-low budget! Still, the story, the script, and the acting are where it's at. We have those in spades.
