Cam starting up in rec709

and I have to switch it back to redspace every time the camera boots up.. but I don't want to.

If your camera playback settings are set to "Clip" the camera will act in the manner you mentioned. Set the Playback to "Camera" and it should solve the issue.

My suggestion would be to restore all your settings. A power cycle of the camera may be necessary for the defaults to be restored.
